As of 28 June, JYSK reached a total of 1 billion Danish Kroner in Business to Business sales in our current financial year. None of which would have been possible without the strategic focus on JYSK’s B2B model.

1 billion

In the financial year 2017-18, it was decided to increase the focus on B2B sales by making it a bigger part of JYSK’s business strategy. Ever since, it has been Rene Hartung, Business to Business Director in JYSK, and his teams’ job to ensure better opportunities to reach JYSK’s B2B potential. A job that has come a long way, as the new milestone of 1 billion DKK in sales in one financial year illustrates.

This milestone would not have been possible without the help from colleagues across JYSK, as Rene explains.

“A lot of colleagues have been involved in reaching 1 billion Danish Kroner in B2B sales. They should all celebrate themselves as part of our journey in achieving our goals. One of the most important reasons for our success is our Business to Business teams’ collaboration with the JYSK store colleagues to guide the customer to a good solution,” says Rene.

B2B sales in stores

Now more than ever before Rene and his team experience an increased focus on achieving B2B sales in JYSK stores, where employees inspire and encourage each other. For example, JYSK Greece has had success in approaching businesses in the local area.

“Overall, we have focused on training our store colleagues in the value of reaching out to businesses that could shop at JYSK, which has helped us expand JYSK’s B2B potential even further,” Rene says.

The stores are an essential part of JYSK’s B2B model, as they make it easy for potential customers to see our assortment nearby.

Countries where JYSK operates with B2B

  • Croatia
  • The Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • The Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Sweden

“Our B2B model works very well with JYSK’s assortment, suitable for companies such as hotels, restaurants, offices, schools and apartment providers, and much more. With our many stores, it is easy for potential customers to visit JYSK, see our range of products, and get qualified guidance from our store colleagues,” Rene explains.

Future potential

The milestone should also be seen in light of the expansion that JYSK B2B has had in recent years. Where JYSK B2B only operated in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Germany in 2018, JYSK now has local B2B departments in 12 countries. A number that will continue to expand in the years to come.

“As we have now reached a new milestone of 1 billion DKK in sales, it is clear to us that there is a lot more potential to gain from JYSK’s B2B model. In the upcoming financial year, it is also our plan to expand our B2B departments to even more countries," says Rene.
