When June begins, so does the Sales Attitude Competition. The competition will run for three months and all JYSK stores over the world will compete about having the best numbers. The winner store in each country will go on a weekend trip.

Sales AttitudeConfidence, winning attitude and twinkle in the eyes are some of the most important attributes for sales, and sales will now get even more attention in the stores. There is a weekend trip at stake for the winner in each country.

In June, July and August, the Sales Attitude Competition will give each JYSK store the chance to show that it has the best Sales Attitude in the whole world of JYSK. The focus will be on Garden in June, mattresses in July and Indoor in August.

“This year, we have made a clear focus on the right sales attitude in our stores, and we have seen a great development. We would like to motivate our store colleagues to go that extra mile for the customer during the summer months with this competition,” says Michael Bach Olesen, Retail Operational Director.

In Romania, sales attitude already has a high importance, according to Store Manager Marinela Ichim in JYSK Suceava 1. It is important that the store is clean and everything in line with planograms and concepts, while having full shelves also makes the sales process easy and improve results.

“It is important to have our colleagues ready to meet the customers, from the equipment they use, to the smiles and attitude, having a good planning and a correct Time Plan. Also, the stock has to be correct and we have to make sure we have enough stock. We risk losing the sale if we do not have a product on stock,” says Marinela.

In Suceava 1, they will not prepare any special efforts for the competition. Every day, the customers should be met with the right sales attitude to achieve the best possible sales.

“The focus should be on customers, not on tasks. We use the sales instruments like additional sales and upselling and the results will come. When we are even better than our customers expect, we have loyal customers. A happy client recommends us to other customers,” says Marinela.

  • The Country Management Teams will provide stores with detailed information about the competition.
  • All stores are encouraged to use the four hashtags #twinkleintheeyes, #winningattitude, #confidence and #customerfirst, when they are sharing pictures on social medias like the internal Facebook group.
