JYSK Eastern Croatia is one of the top performing districts in JYSK. Now they share the recipe for success.
JYSK Eastern Croatia is one of the most successful district in JYSK in the financial year 2023-24. Thanks to consistently strong results and the highest sales growth, JYSK Eastern Croatia had a great year. Moreover, this district had the most internal promotions for the second time, a result of professional mentoring in stores, a focus on quality employee development, and staff who are eager to seize learning opportunities.
STRONG FOCUS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
These results would not have been possible without a strong focus throughout the year according to Dominik Stažić. He is District Manager of JYSK Eastern Croatia and he was also selected the best District Manager of JYSK West Balkan (Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia). He and his team maintain this focus through frequent meetings, store visits, and regular analyses.
"I frequently visit our stores, and I share all field information, along with opportunities for improvement, via our internal communication channel for all employees to see. I typically highlight the top three stores for each key KPI, and especially the store that achieved the best sales growth index on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This fosters a competitive atmosphere among stores, with the store achieving the highest sales growth receiving additional recognition and motivation."
He also considers employee involvement in the creation of action plans key to achieving successful results, as it allows employees to propose ideas based on their experience to simplify and speed up everyday store processes.
"I believe it's crucial for the whole team in each store to participate in creating the action plan, so we can gather as many good suggestions as possible. Store Managers play a vital role in creating and implementing it - they gather the most important information and results and guide their team toward priority goals. An essential part of every action plan is the Sales & Service training in stores, where we refine our sales steps."
Dominik believes his responsibility is to support Store Managers, especially the less experienced ones, ensuring they have access to expert mentoring from more seasoned colleagues.
"If we have less experienced colleagues on the team, we conduct follow-up conversations more frequently, regularly analyse results, and monitor potential development to ensure all our goals are met on time, and that they continue to improve."
