Four candidates have been selected for China’s first Store Manager Trainee programme (SMT), which prepares candidates for becoming Store Manager.

One of the candidates is Will Chen (photo), Sales Leader from Yancheng. He has worked at JYSK since 2015 and now wants to become Store Manager.

“I would like to develop personally and pursue my goal of a career at JYSK. I want to show my worth and get the opportunity for leading my team to becoming the best one,” he says.

With the SMT programme, Will Chen expects to improve both his leader and sales abilities.

“I can bring home the new knowledge to the store and share it with my colleagues, so that together we can improve sales and create China’s most attractive JYSK store,” he says.

Besides China, a number of other JYSK countries offer SMT programmes.

Facts about the SMT programme

  • The SMT programme takes two month to complete and consists of four training modules. Between the modules, candidates receive practical training in the store.
  • The purpose of the SMT programme is to secure qualified candidates for when a store needs a new Store Manager.
