Now that more and more stores are reopening across countries, we asked colleagues from Germany, Czech Republic, Romania and Bulgaria what did they miss during these weeks and how is it to go back to the stores and serve customers again.

While the corona crisis has closed JYSK stores in many countries, employees at the distribution centres have been extra busy. GOJYSK.com has received a status from DCU and DCN.

JYSK created a 150.000 lei emergency fund with the purpose of equipping Romanian hospitals that are treating COVID-19 patients and that are in need of products such as pillows, duvets and bed linen. Managers of 18 hospitals and an ambulance service responded to the initiative.

During April 2020, JYSK will begin building a new distribution centre in Ecser, Hungary. When in operation, the distribution centre will employ around 300 people and further strengthen the company’s logistics setup in Europe.

The latest weeks have been a challenge to all of us, and even now it is hard to say what will be the result of the current crisis. However, it has not been hard to see how the JYSK values live in our company in every store, distribution centre and office across all countries. We are truly One JYSK.

The last couple of weeks we have experienced a situation in Europe, which none of us have ever seen before, and which is extremely challenging for business in general, for JYSK and of course for all of us as individuals.
