The starting signal was given on 11 June 2025: Since then, the JYSK stores in Germany have been gradually connected to the Unified Commerce (UC) system. And how is the new system being received? GOJYSK asked three Store Managers.
27 stores in two weeks: This is the number for the first wave of conversion to Unified Commerce (UC) in Germany.
After a short summer break, it will continue in mid-August. After all, almost 900 other stores are waiting for the big changeover. And this is to be completed by the beginning of November.

SHORT DISTANCES AND HAPPY CUSTOMERS
One person who has already experienced this switch in his store is Tym Oehlers from Itzehoe.
"The inventory correction tool is great. In the past, we always had to walk to the office. Now we stand in front of the shelf with our mobile phone and can make the changes immediately," says Tym, who recently celebrated his 20th work anniversary.
This saves long distances and, above all, time. Time that he and his colleagues can use for the customers – and they also benefit from UC.
"Recently, a customer came to the store. She was interested in a chair that was only available online. I said to her, 'That's no problem. I'll order the chair to your home.' The customer was happy," says Tym.

EVERYTHING FASTER AND MORE EFFICIENT
And it's not just the customers who are satisfied.
"The new incoming goods department has many advantages," says Store Manager Dennis Hernandez from Frankenberg, whose store was converted to UC at the end of June.
"The pick lists allow us to select goods in a more targeted manner. And: The products are only visible online when we have packaged and approved them," says Dennis, who has been Store Manager at JYSK for three years.
This way, customers can be sure that their favorite products are really there and ready to go. For many things, customers no longer have to come to the store in person.
“Inventory maintenance is now much more efficient, but the entire process has also become faster," Dennis sums up.

EVERYTHING AT A GLANCE
Store Manager Victoria Schmid can only agree: "We particularly like the new customer order system."
Victoria has been managing the store in Oberndorf am Neckar for a year and a half. She explains that the filter function simplifies many things.
"What orders have we taken? Which ones are in progress or even already completed? We can call up this information with just one click and then have everything in view. And it's all it takes to send customers a text message informing them that their goods are ready to be picked up," says Victoria.
"Instead of looking in three or four systems, everything is in one place. Everything is simple, clear and modern."

For the Store Manager, it is already clear after just under two months: UC is a real advantage.
"Instead of looking in three or four systems, everything is in one place. Everything is simple, clear and modern – UC is a significant improvement in how we do our work," she says.
