Three new colleagues tell how they have experienced their first days and weeks working at JYSK. Welcome to the team, Myroslava from Ukraine, Anikó from Hungary and Lucas from Switzerland.
Myroslava Maslova from Ukraine
"I was very keen on getting this job, as I really wanted to work in an international company together with motivated and professional people. I went to three interviews in a row and I was impressed how thoughtfully JYSK selects employees. I guess that is why the working climate in the office is friendly and healthy.
It has been easy to learn everything I need for my new job, because everybody has been very helpful and supportive. Starting in my job at JYSK has offered me the opportunity to learn something new and inspiring.
My best advice for new colleagues in JYSK is to do their very best and don’t hesitate to ask questions or offer a helping hand themselves if a colleague needs them."
Anikó Csuri from Hungary
"When I first joined JYSK, I had the same feeling as if I was back at school again. I got a lot of new information.
During the introduction programme, I got great support from colleagues, even the ones I did not know yet. No matter which store I went to for help, I got it. And I still do.
It feels good, when my colleagues are patient and helpful towards me as a new colleague. It is obvious that JYSK invests a lot of money, time and energy in training and education.
After 2-3 months, all information will come together to one and will make sense. All bits are in harmony and in connection with each other - and all things are in their right place.
In my career, I have never met so detailed, clean and well-developed planograms. The outcome of the structured plans and details are that the operative store routines are smooth."
Lucas Caamano from Switzerland
"It was exciting to start at JYSK, and despite the corona pandemic's many challenges, I have experienced fantastic guidance. The introduction was carefully planned with the support of the entire company, not only the Swiss organisation. I have been welcomed by everyone and have felt appreciated from the beginning.
Everyone meets each other at eye level, regardless of department and position, and this strengthens the collaboration. I am very happy to be here, and I have only had positive experiences.
One of the things that has made the biggest impression on me is the planning and structuring of my introduction. The support from both the department and foreign colleagues is fantastic. Then you can manage everything.
I have worked in many other places, also in large companies, and I have never experienced anything like it. The company's wonderful philosophy can be seen and felt everywhere, and it is a great achievement."
