Ahead of the first JYSK store opening in Russia in April, four future Store Managers have been training hard to get ready.

As part of their training, four coming Store Managers travelled to Poland and Croatia to see how a JYSK store is run according to our successful concepts.

Local colleagues from both Poland and Croatia shared best practice with their new JYSK partners, and wished them all the best for the launch in Russia in April 2020.

GOJYSK.com asked the Store Managers to introduce themselves and tell us more about their first impressions of JYSK, which is practically unknown in Russia.

Why did you want to become a Store Manager in JYSK?

Key reasons for me are JYSK values, the opportunity to be part of creating a company in the Russian market from scratch, and the company’s ambitious goals.

What did you learn from your training in Poland and Croatia?

I saw real examples of work in different countries and different locations. I have gained a lot of information about stores, employees, products, concepts, logistics and much more. And, of course, a few words in Polish and Croatian.

What are you most excited about when opening your store?

The first reactions and impressions of our stores from our customers.

Why did you want to become a Store Manager in JYSK?

My own way of living is very close to the values of JYSK. And when I found out that the company was coming to Russia, I knew this should be my choice.

What are you most excited about when opening your store?

Setting the strongest team. The selection of the starting team is the basis of everything, not only for my store, but for JYSK in Russia.

Why did you want to become a Store Manager in JYSK?

I really like that the company not only sets ambitious goals, but also achieves all set goals and allows each employee of the company to grow with it. “Bring dedication. Meet possibilities.” – this motto is not just words, it is a formula for success for everyone involved.

What did you learn from your training in Poland and Croatia?

I took part in every process in the store: ordering a product, accepting a product, working on the cash register, preparing the store for a campaign, changing concepts, working with various reports, etc.

What were the most useful things you learned about JYSK that you can take with you back to Russia?

The most useful thing was to understand the spirit of the company and if it differs from country to country. And I realised that the main resource for new victories is the team spirit of employees regardless of where the store is located.

Why did you want to become a Store Manager in JYSK?

I decided to join the JYSK Russia team in October 2019, when I found out that the company was going to start working in Russia. I liked the company, the philosophy of work, the attitude towards customers and employees. And here I am.

What did you learn from your training in Poland and Croatia?

I tried to get to know the company better, to learn all the working processes, how the store works, and I tried to gain knowledge and experience in order to share it with my colleagues in the future and help my colleagues develop. And build convenient, beautiful customer-oriented stores in Moscow.
