Romania wins employer award
JYSK Romania won 1st place in the Top Employers competition in Non-Alimentary Retail and 4th place in the General Top.
The competition was run by Undelucram.ro, the only website in Romania where employees and candidates can rate employers. JYSK’s ranking was based on all the reviews written by users in 2021.
HR Manager for JYSK Romania and Bulgaria, Simona Carp, received the diploma on behalf of the company.
Trucks on liquefied natural gas
In December 2021, the first two LNG-fueled (liquefied natural gas) trucks started to deliver goods for Distribution Centre Radomsko and the Polish stores. More LNG-fueled trucks will follow soon.
LNG is less harmful to the climate than e.g. diesel, as trucks running on LNG among other things emit less CO2 and the amount of soot particles is significantly reduced.
Books bring dreams to children
JYSK Ukraine provides Scandinavian and Ukrainian children’s books to special children facilities for children from e.g. no-income or dysfunctional families.
The books are written by famous authors like Astrid Lindgren and are filled with love, optimism and the belief in love and kindness.
JYSK colleagues from different regions in Ukraine visit the facilities to donate the books, but also to spend time with the children.
The initiative is in cooperation with the NGO Dream Library and JYSK colleagues will continue to bring books and hope for children in need.
Triple award win in Ukraine
JYSK Ukraine won three HR Pro Awards by HR Pro Ukrainian Association.
One award for the international store 3000 employer branding campaign.
Another award for JYSK Development Journey case, which is a clear example of positive changes in the company's employee training. JYSK’s support and development of employees during the pandemic was highly appreciated by the jury.
And third a personal award for Raising Star, which went to HR Manager Anastasiia Kruta.
JYSK colleague attends World Cup in floorball
Besides her work as a Media Coordinator at the Head Office in Denmark, Kristine Møller Sørensen spends many hours practicing her sport, floorball.
Recently she represented Denmark as she participated in the World Cup in floorball in Uppsala, Sweden. Denmark achieved an eighth place out of 16 participating teams.
Great interest in Team Leader training
Like the rest of JYSK, Distribution Centre Uldum is in rapid development, and therefore often in need of new leaders.
A new Team Leader Trainee program will ensure that the future leaders are well prepared for the position.
30 candidates applied for admission at the new trainee program. Malene Rahbæk was among the 12 lucky candidates, who were accepted into the program, which lasts 1.5 years.
Colleagues support family of eight
After winning an internal sales competition on the occasion of the celebration of JYSK Serbia's 10th anniversary, the winning team from the JYSK store in Leskovac decided to pass on the prize to a local family of eight with few financial means.
Seven JYSK employees visited the family and brought along duvets, pillows, towels, furniture, and other things for the home as well as New Year's gifts for the children.
