Running together with colleagues
In September, the DHL relay took place in Aarhus. The relay is an annual run in which thousands of colleagues from many different companies participate. JYSK was represented by 150 colleagues from the Head Office in Brabrand, Denmark.
Distribution Centre Escer is taking shape
JYSK is growing at a rapid pace. This recently became very concrete for Regional Head of Sales, Jimmi Knudsgård Jacobsen, when he visited Budapest in Hungary for the first time in a while: “Last time, this view was an empty field. Now a new JYSK distribution centre,” he writes on his Linkedin profile.
The new distribution centre is located in Escer just outside Budapest and will be fully operational from autumn 2022.
12 colleagues cover 215 km
Corporate spirit across national borders is what it takes to cover 215,7 km in just 18 hours and 23 minutes. This was proven by 12 JYSK colleagues from Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia when together they completed the 2021 Ultrabalaton race in Hungary.
10-year anniversary in Serbia
10 years ago, the first JYSK store in Serbia opened in the city of Subotica. Today, there are 41 stores in 27 different cities – and more are on the way. The celebration of the anniversary was kicked off with birthday cake for all stores and the local head office.
France reaches 50 stores
The first store in France opened in 2007. Now the number of stores reached 50. Store number 50 opened in Lexy in north-eastern France.
JYSK participated in FSC® Friday
True to tradition, JYSK supported FSC Friday 2021 – a day where companies and NGOs from all over the world celebrate Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) and responsible forestry.
At JYSK, we marked the day by putting extra focus on our many years of collaboration with FSC and the efforts to increase awareness about the importance of responsible wood (FSC® N001715).
