Ambition has fueled Yuliia’s career
After just two years at JYSK, 24-year-old Yuliia Ketner is the youngest Store Supporter ever in JYSK Ukraine.
Yuliia Ketner started working as Administrative Responsible at JYSK. Then she worked as Sales Leader and became Store Manager even before finishing the Store Manager Trainee programme. Now she is taking on the job as Store Supporter.
This may sound like the resume of someone with a long career, but in reality, this is what two years in JYSK have meant for 24-year-old Yuliia Ketner.
But what does it take to be successful at JYSK and rise through the ranks? Excellent work ethics combined with great ambition, according to Yuliia.
“In order to succeed at JYSK, I think it is crucial to be willing to work and develop. When I worked as a Store Manager, I always worked hard to achieve maximum results in my daily work,” says Yuliia.
Get out of your comfort zone
As a student Yuliia travelled to the USA to work in a gift shop, far away from her familiar surroundings in Ukraine, and she recommends colleagues to take similar chances.
“You should not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and take initiative, because I believe that the experiences that this gives you are often the ones you learn and develop the most from,” says Yuliia.
And even though Yuliia has had success in her work in JYSK up until now, her promotion to Store Supporter does not mean that she will wind down her ambitions.
“I consider myself very happy and lucky to be part of the JYSK team. I am planning to get the position as District Manager within a year or two, and hopefully I will also get a chance to take the introduction programme for Retail Manager,” says Yuliia.
