Nordic Mood sells many more items

Nordic Mood, which in February is coming to 19 JYSK countries, gives the highlighted products a significant sales boost.
Displaying selected items together in an inspiring way in the store pays off.
New figures from Business Controlling actually show that the sale of a single item can be more than four times as large than if the item was just placed in its usual place in the store.
"After a year with Nordic Mood in nine different countries, the figures clearly show that the special exposure increases sales of the selected products. So the extra effort it takes to make the displays and constantly keep them stocked pays off in the end," says Peter Andsager, Executive Vice President Purchasing.
What is Nordic Mood?
• A collection of products displayed in a visible place in the store and updated with new products every quarter.
• Nordic Mood has been active since 2017 in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
• In February 2018, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Ukraine and Greece will follow.
VANDSTED became bestseller
During the period from 29 August to 9 October 2017, the bench VANDSTED was a key item in the Nordic Mood collection. Measured by number, more than 4.4 times as many benches were sold in stores with Nordic Mood, compared to stores without the display.
Compared to the entire category of benches, the average in Denmark was 27 VANDSTED benches sold per store, compared to six benches from the rest of the range.
The rest of the items in the collection also sold significantly better in the stores where Nordic Mood was displayed as a unified collection.
Nordic Mood goes global
In February, Nordic Mood is being rolled-out in more JYSK countries. Rikke Blæsild, Range & Design Manager, has been in charge of selecting the products for the first global collection.
"It is amazing to see how Nordic Mood has really boosted sales in the nine countries we have worked with so far. Now, of course, I am excited to see how it is going to work out with the new global collection. I have composed stylish and Scandinavian items, which will hopefully be successful in all JYSK countries," she says.
Nordic Mood will be available in 19 different countries from 13 February 2018.
