Swedish store wins “Store 2500” competition
The store team in Kalmar in the southeast of Sweden won the competition in connection with the celebration of 2,500 JYSK stores.
During the recent campaign to celebrate JYSK reaching 2,500 stores worldwide, all employees could take part in an internal competition.
Using text, photos, videos or all of those combined, the purpose of the competition was to inspire colleagues to maximise sales during the campaign.
The winning entry came from the store team in Kalmar in the southeast of Sweden. Store Manager Malin Abrahamsson received the prizes together with her team.
“We were all really happy and surprised to win. We are all a bunch of crazy people, and we love to be creative and have fun together. We had so much fun creating the video, and knowing that we won is just amazing! We all just jumped up and down in happiness when we found out,” says Malin.
Creating JYSK influencers
The competition was organised by the HR department, with Kateryna Babenko, Regional HR Manager, in charge of engaging colleagues in the competition.
“The goal of the competition was to create more JYSK influencers. Being an influencer means not only being a JYSK ambassador, but also sharing great stories from JYSK with colleagues and friends outside JYSK. The competition created a lot of positive energy and fun all around the JYSK countries, and it was difficult to choose one winner. I am very proud of our strong JYSK teams with great engagement,” says Kateryna.

If you ask Malin, she is also very pleased with the concept.

Malin already knows how the team is going to celebrate their victory.
“We are all planning to go out, have a nice meal and spend an evening to celebrate together,” she says.
