Graduates in Budapest

In April, the JYSK graduates from Denmark visited Hungary to gain international experience. During the programme, they were introduced to the company culture in Hungary, the city store concept, KPI achievements and the employee training system.

JYSK's graduate programme at the Head Office in Denmark focuses on development and learning, and it aims to support and develop recent graduates in their first full-time work experience.

The programme is individually tailored to each department, but the overall focus is on developing skills and experience over the 1-2 years of the programme. Graduates usually join a specialist or management position at JYSK after completing the programme.

During their stay, they had the opportunity to learn about JYSK's operations in Hungary: they were introduced to the city store concept in the Corvin Plaza store by Barbi Bors, Area Manager, and Tamás Góbor, Store Manager, and they were told about the KPI achievements and employee training system by Tibor Katona, Store Manager, in the Soroksár store.

Country Director Sandor Szimeiszter also offered them unique insights into the retail market in Hungary. But not only did he talk about business, but as the leader of 3 countries, he also talked about cultural differences, diversity and how this affects the so-called XL organisational structure.

He even gave them an in-depth insight into the history of Hungary, so that the young Danish colleagues could learn a lot about the country and its culture.
