If you had the opportunity to ask a colleague from another country three questions, what would you ask?

Brenda Bottyan, who is Store Manager in Pitt Meadows in Canada, decided to send her questions to China. Dong Fengqing, who is Store Manager in Wuxi City, was the one to answer the questions.

Brenda: “Are there any cultures or traditions in China that are included in running the day-to-day business at JYSK?”

Dong: “Of course! Traditional Chinese culture has a long and profound history. It includes, among other things, many different theories within management. Some of these philosophies influence the everyday work in stores, for example, we have a pragmatic and practical spirit."

Brenda: “What do you enjoy doing on your day off?”

Dong: “In my spare time, I enjoy visiting different tourist attractions, spending time with friends and eating various delicacies.”

Brenda: “What is the largest holiday in China and how long does it last?”

Dong: “The largest holiday in China is the Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year. We have three days public holiday but traditionally the celebration lasts for 15 days.”
