The mattress studio in the JYSK store in Egå, Denmark, looked quite different than usual. Three large light boxes illuminated the mattress studio and made the LED lights in the rest of the store pale in comparison.
In front of three cameras, Rasmus Snæver and Sandra Rugi were in place to host JYSK’s first ever live shopping event at Facebook, which took place on 30 March 2023.
“I can’t wait to get started. I wish we would just go live right now,” Rasmus said a bit earlier in the evening, as he and co-host Sandra were having a slice of pizza and a soda before the event.
"A lot of fun"
At exactly 19:30, the event was launched to 1,600 viewers, filled with great offers and competitions. The night’s focus was on duvets, pillows and bed linen, and the event resulted in more than 8,000 comments and questions as well as more than 500 orders.
After 37 minutes, the event was over.
“I’m just so happy right now,” Rasmus said right after the livestream had ended. Colleagues from the store and the Head Office rushed up to offer high fives to the two hosts.
“That was really a lot of fun,” Sandra also said.
