One Week with... Maria Mavri from Greece

Sales Assistant Maria Mavri from Greece has chosen to share a week in her life through pictures and short descriptions. Maria works in a JYSK store in Elliniko in Athen.

Monday

My week starts with the training of three new colleagues. After a tour around the store, I talk to them about the planogram and the concept.

Tuesday

Tuesday is the day for stocktaking.  It is very important both for us and for our customers to guarantee that we have the correct stock. Stocktaking is a difficult and very responsible work but if you follow the procedure, everything goes well.  

Wednesday

Time for campaign preparation! Every Thursday we start a new campaign, that is why it is so important to have attractive displays with the most important offers. Don’t forget that even the most expensive article can have a very strong campaign price that customers will love. We have to present it to them, don’t you agree?

Thursday

The favorite day of our customers finally arrived! The first day of a new campaign! It is very important for us, the Sales Assistants, to be well informed about the new offers in order to give our customers what they really want and are looking for.

Friday

Of course, another important day is the day we receive products from the distribution centre. All employees do their best to finish as fast as possible to make sure that the store will be fully filled with products and customers will be informed of the delivery of their orders.  

Saturday

On my day off, I went for a walk with my colleagues and we played a game called celebrity game night. Our team is called “James Bond” or “007”.

Sunday

Is there anything better than spending a Sunday morning with a nice walk in Athens’ historical centre?
