JYSK wins Best Employer award in Hungary
On 26 October, JYSK was named Best Employer in Hungary by AON Hewitt.
JYSK employees in Hungary can now officially say that they work for their country’s best employer.
Based on a survey in 95 different companies with more than 5,000 responses done by the international consulting firm AON Hewitt, JYSK was awarded the title of Best Employer 2017 in Hungary on 26 October.
The prestigious award was handed to Sándor Szimeiszter, Country Manager of JYSK Hungary, during a gala event at the Akvárium Klub in Budapest, the Hungarian capital.
“Our JYSK colleagues showed engagement far above the average, and as a result we received the Best Employer award. A great workplace is not something we do, it is something we are, because it is at the core of how we work,” says Sándor.
Getting employees involved
Joining their Country Manager at the event was Sándor Horváth, Retail Manager; Endre Lipkovics, Social Media & Digital Coordinator; Imre Kádár, HR Manager; and Ágnes Nyeste, HR Business Partner.
Ágnes joined JYSK one year ago, and since then she has been a driving force in getting involved with AON Hewitt to get some data on what employees in Hungary think of JYSK as an employer.
“It is important to know where we stand compared to our competitors, so during May we sent out a survey among all employees to get their opinion about JYSK Hungary. We spent a lot of energy on getting everyone involved, because we really wanted to know where we stand,” explains Ágnes.
Celebration in spring
On the stage at the Akvárium Klub, the results of the surveys in different companies was announced, with JYSK coming out on top.
“To be honest, I think we were all a little nervous, because none of us are used to being on such a big stage. But I am so proud of our result, and so proud to be working for the best employer in Hungary. I know that my colleagues feel the same way,” says Ágnes.
In the spring of 2018, the award will be celebrated across the JYSK organisation in Hungary.
