JYSK Romania organised a fun teambuilding where the colleagues learned to cook tasty dishes, made a 30 metres homemade pasta dough, danced, laughed and had a huge flour fight.

One of the best ways to end a week is dining out, trying delicious Italian recipes, together with some fun people that make the time fly without even noticing. This is how 33 colleagues from JYSK Romania spent a Friday evening, at the master class “Cooking is Fun”.

THE EVENING MENU

Under the supervision of Liviu, the chef who conducted the master class, the JYSK team was divided into 5 groups and started working on three recipes: Sformatino with Ricotta, Pappardelle with Duck Ragout and Chocolate Lava Cake.

“We wanted to organise something fun for all the colleagues in the HO. When we received the proposal to attend a cooking class, we thought this might be something everyone will enjoy. The organisers of the master class assured us that it would not be a regular cooking class, where you only learn how to prepare some dishes. The main purpose of the workshop is to have fun. And we did! It wasn’t just a social event where we went out to dine, it was a unique experience that we will not forget”, said Alex Bratu, Country Manager JYSK Romania and Bulgaria.

THE FIGHT, THE PASTA AND THE MAGIC

For about 20 minutes, everyone worked carefully, trying to be the best chefs that they could be. Until one of them threw a handful of flour at someone else. Soon, everyone was fighting with flour and all the participants were as white as snow.

But the pasta was not finished yet. While old Italian pop songs started playing at full volume and the music filled the room, the JYSK team made a 30 metres homemade pasta dough that had to be thinner... and thinner...

The last part of the evening looked like a magic show. With the help of the chef, some of our colleagues prepared the ice cream that was going to be served with the lava cake using liquid nitrogen and the effect was stunning: a steam explosion.

In the end, everyone enjoyed the three dishes and received a certificate of excellence in cooking. And some colleagues actually prepared Lava Cake at home, for their loved ones.
