At the beginning of March, an XL store opened its doors to customers in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
JYSK XL stores
- The first XL store opened in Brașov III, Romania, in 2018.
- Since then, a total of 28 XL stores have opened in different countries.
- More XL stores are planned to open in 2021.
The first JYSK store that opened 11 years ago in Sarajevo has now been reinvented in an expanded XL format. The store in Sarajevo is the first in West Balkan (Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina) with the XL concept.
The XL concept differs from the usual JYSK store format with more space, which gives customers a better overview, a wider range and a more inspiring display concept.
The store space covers almost 1,400 square metres, and in addition to a larger retail space customers have the opportunity to see and buy items that JYSK normally only sells online.
"Although online shopping is growing, for some decisions customers want to see and try the products beforehand. Especially if it is a larger piece of furniture, such as a bed or sofa. This XL format is the ideal solution for this type of need," says Ivan Protega, Retail Manager for JYSK in Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
