Davide creates attractive stores

Davide began his career in JYSK as Sales Assistant and has since found his career path in JYSK. Today, he creates attractive stores for customers in Italy.

What was meant to be six months became four years. Davide Moretto was hired on a fixed-term employment contract as Sales Assistant, but today, he is responsible for the JYSK store concept in Italy as Store Concept Manager.

Before starting in JYSK, Davide had his own interior design studio in Milan, but when the pandemic emerged in 2020, sales dropped. With no experience in sales and service, he applied for a part-time job as Sales Assistant in JYSK Arco in northern part of Italy.

“I never had a concrete plan for my future and was unaware of the multiple career opportunities JYSK offers. So, I was very happy to find a job here at JYSK that fits my curiosity in design. I have always been fascinated by fashion and interior design, especially the aesthetics of Scandinavian style, so to be surrounded by this daily in my job is a win for me,” says Davide.

The future is ‘blue’

Davide Moretto, Store Concept Manager in JYSK ItalyAs Davide’s contract was ending, a new position as Store Activity Coordinator opened. His manager encouraged him to apply for the new position and stay with JYSK. At first, Davide was a little hesitant, but his manager began to explain the potential for growth and how the job possibilities could match Davide's interests.

“When I became Store Activity Coordinator, I realised that JYSK is where I want to be. I have been involved in 72 store activities, and I am glad I listened to my manager and took a more international route in my career path,” he says.

As Store Concept Manager, he uses his design expertise and skills daily to enhance the store's concept and aesthetics.

“I love working closely with Retail to create more attractive stores for our customers. For us Italians, fashion and design are essential, so I try to bring beauty and practicality into our JYSK stores to inspire our customers,” he says and continues:

Nu har vi sängen hemma och hoppas på att produkten uppfyller våra förväntningar som vanlig. Hoppas på att ni framför mina åsikter till butikspersonalen i Staffanstorp.
