Journalists and bloggers experience new JYSK trends

On Monday 27 August, JYSK presented the new trends for a special group of people at Hotel Ferdinand in Aarhus, Denmark.
There was coffee, several delicious biscuits and ice-cold champagne on offer, when a group of specially selected journalists and bloggers were invited to Hotel Ferdinand in Aarhus to a new JYSK trend event.
The event was the first of its kind in Denmark, and the guests could experience JYSK's three new trends - Human Nature, Creative Mind and The Thinker - as well as two trends from last season in the total of five small hotel apartments.
After a brief welcome, Rikke Blæsild, Range & Design Manager in JYSK, showed the guests around in the various apartments - each designed and decorated according to a unique trend.
"It was really nice to show our guests around the apartments, which they all really liked. It also worked very well that they could touch the products and try them on their own. The guests became a part of the experience itself, and this also paid off in their great commitment throughout the event," says Rikke.
An instructive success
After the tour, the guests had the opportunity to explore the apartments on their own. They could ask questions to representatives from JYSK and take pictures for their social media and blogs.
"A lot of pictures were taken and some bloggers even transmitted live video on Instagram. Overall, the bloggers reached more than 400,000 followers. That is of course positive promotion of JYSK to people, who are interested in interior design," says Martin Møller Aamand, Communications & PR Manager.

In addition to the positive mentions, the team behind the event also gained a lot of useful experience. These experiences can be shared with colleagues in other countries and used for future events.
"The event was an instructive success for everyone. When we were preparing the event, we did not know what to expect. It was the first time we tried an event like this in Denmark. Now we want to do more, so this event will definitely not be the last of its kind in Denmark," says Martin.
