JYSK Romania launched an employer branding campaign that aims to position JYSK as one of the most desired employers in the retail market.

Simona Carp is HR Manager in JYSK Romania and Bulgaria.

The campaign, Scandinavian Jobs, promotes the benefits and opportunities that JYSK is offering to all employees and highlights the advantages of working in a Scandinavian work environment. The main message of the campaign is our most important Employer Branding promise, “Bring Dedication, Meet Possibilities”.

“A Scandinavian job is one where modesty, transparency, and team spirit are appreciated. As for the new colleagues that we are searching for, they need to share our values – respect, collegiality, commitment, tradesman spirit, loyalty, modesty, and openness”, says Simona Carp, HR Manager JYSK Romania and Bulgaria.

The Scandinavian Jobs campaign will be promoted over the next six months. Each month, the campaign focuses on one of the benefits and values that our future employees can find in JYSK: team spirit, opportunities, the right to speak up, hygge, modesty, transparency.

A FUN AND TIRING PHOTO SESSION

To select the colleagues that will be the image of Scandinavian Jobs campaign, JYSK organized a casting where employees from all over the country were invited to participate. After the casting, JYSK chose ten colleagues, who took part in an intense two days photo session together with Alex Bratu, Country Manager JYSK Romania and Bulgaria. The result: over 1000 photos.

“It was a new experience for me, both fun and tiring. I am happy that I had the opportunity to interact with my colleagues, people that I have not met before. And I think, I got used to the camera quite quickly”, says Florentina Stefan, Customer Service Supporter JYSK Romania.

The setup also emphasized the hygge concept and our products with their Scandinavian design and modern look. The studio was furnished and decorated with JYSK furniture and accessories, all with the purpose of telling the JYSK story, a story with deep Scandinavian roots, which is reflected in our daily jobs.  Our colleagues were a little bit shy in the beginning, considering the fact that it was their first time in front of the camera, but soon they got used to being photographed. By the end of the first day, they were relaxed, they were having fun, and they became friends. You can also see this in the photographs.

The Scandinavian Jobs campaign started at the same time with JYSK's 11 years anniversary in Romania, and from the first day, it was present in stores and online. In stores, customers were welcomed with balloons and candies marked with the campaign’s name, while online our followers could see a reportage and a making-of video from the photo session.
