Around the world: PR event in Greece, Ukraine reopens store, and JYSK Portugal receives certificate

JYSK invites to PR event in Greece
On 8 November 2023, JYSK Greece hosted the Indoor PR Event in Gazarte - Athens Cultural Hub. Among the many guests were journalists, TV presenters, and influencers who came to admire the indoor furniture assortment in full Christmas decoration – all from JYSK.
The next event for JYSK Greece is the Outdoor PR event scheduled for spring 2024.
JYSK Germany contributes to life-saving causes
In December 2023, JYSK Germany started Christmas early and donated 3,000 euros to The North-East Blood Donation Service from the German Red Cross. The event took place at the Regional Head Office in Handewitt.
Since 2014, JYSK has supported the organisation through blood donation and typing campaigns where 700 colleagues have had their blood typed - two of them have already saved lives through their stem cell donations.
Reopening in Ukraine
On 14 December 2023, JYSK reopened the renovated JYSK store in Gostomel. The store was destroyed during the war, but now JYSK employees can welcome customers back into the store.
"The Fora Shopping Center and the brand new JYSK store burned down due to bombing in the first days of the battle in Kyiv. We are pleased to have the opportunity to rebuild the store and to be able to welcome customers back into the store,” said Ievgenii Ivanytsia, Country Director in JYSK Ukraine.
JYSK Hungary receives social recognition
JYSK in Hungary was honored with the Laurus Award for its social responsibility efforts in FY23. JYSK have supported the Lámpás ’92 Foundation with products such as beds, mattresses, and wardrobes. Throughout FY23, JYSK colleagues volunteered to help assemble the furniture.
“It is always a great joy for us to support a good cause, and it is particularly gratifying when our colleagues are partners in these charity programs and actively participate,” said Sándor Szimeiszter, Country Manager in JYSK Hungary, Greece, and Austria.
JYSK Portugal is a ‘Great place to work’
In its first year of participation, JYSK Portugal proudly achieved the prestigious “Great Place to Work”-certificate.
With an impressive 99% participation rate, nearly eight out of 10 employees says that JYSK Portugal is a great place to work.
The distinction reflects JYSK's continued commitment to creating an exceptional work environment, characterised by values such as trust, respect, pride, and companionship among its teams.
