Three questions for a colleague
If you had the opportunity to ask a colleague from another country three questions, what would you ask?
Tomislav Ilijaš, who is Store Manager in Zagreb in Croatia decided to send his questions to the Netherlands, where Pasquale de Boer has been Store Manager in Amsterdam since October 1st 2017.
Tomislav: “What is your biggest success since you became Store Manager at JYSK?”
Pasquale: “I was a Store Manager for three years in the store Den Helder before I went to Amsterdam Noord, where I am a Store Manager today. The store in Den Helder didn't run very well, when I began as a Store Manager there, but in three years time me and my colleagues managed to make it third best in the district regarding turnover and presentation of the store.“
Tomislav: “Is it true that in the Netherlands there are more bicycles than the total population altogether? Do you ride a bicycle to work?”
Pasquale: “It is true that there are many bicycles in the Netherlands. You can really get around on a bicycle. It is easy and you well arrive at your destination fast, especially in the big cities. On top of that it is good for your health and a cheap mode of transport.
I live 40 minutes by car from the store, so I don't go by bicycle to work.”
Tomislav: “I'm planning to visit Amsterdam in the near future, could you recommend me some great places to visit?”
Pasquale: “There are a lot of things to do in Amsterdam. You can go to Madam Tussaud, which is a waxworks museum of celebrities from all over the world, or you can visit The Anne Frank House, which is monument in memory of Anne Frank (known for the diary she wrote in the Second World War). It is also possible to take a cruise tour with a canal boat along verious points of interest in the city. There's a guide on board who tells the history of Amsterdam.”
