40 JYSK colleagues run for charity
JYSK was one of the biggest groups representing companies at Wings for Life World Run.
“We are very excited about both the result we achieved and because as a team we could be a part of this run, which aims to help others,” says Piotr Padalak, Country Manager for JYSK Poland, who ran 11.5 kilometres.
A total of 8,000 runners stood at the starting line of the Polish edition of the run that takes place worldwide simultaneously.
Facts about Wings for Life
- Wings for Life World Run takes place simultaneously in 12 locations around the world.
- All entry fees are donated to spinal cord research.
Among them were 40 representatives from JYSK Poland. The total result of the runner’s club came to 665 kilometres.
“This gives us a global ranking at the 51st position in the total number of 2,383 participating teams. I am happy that as a team we can and want to spend time together outside the office and our usual working environment,” says Adrian Dróżdź, District Manager, who ran a distance of 20 kilometres.
Donations for research
Bartosz Kupa was the member who ran the furthest – 44.2 kilometres. Bartek achieved an excellent result and was classified as 32nd place in Poznań and 180th in the world.
“We are really happy that we could take part in this great run. We were visible before and during the run. Fantastic atmosphere and strong team spirit. Our runners showed great commitment on a demanding route with high temperatures. We will definitely be back to Poznań,” says Bartosz.
