2 out of 3 JYSK stores are now 3.0
JYSK has reached an important milestone with 2,000 stores worldwide with Store Concept 3.0. The milestone was celebrated at a reopening in Hungary. By the end of 2024, the upgrade of all 3,200 stores will be completed.
On Wednesday 21 June, the JYSK store in Gödöllő, a small city around 30 kilometres northeast of Budapest in Hungary, reopened its doors to customers after a few closing days due to a rearrangement of the store to Store Concept 3.0.
The reopening marks the milestone of 2,000 JYSK stores worldwide with the newest store concept. JYSK is aiming for an upgrade of all 3,200 stores by the end of 2024.
The Store Manager in Gödöllő, Zoltán Bajnai, was very happy with his new great looking store, and he and his colleagues enjoyed the celebration cake before the reopening. At opening time, a long queue of customers was waiting outside. Especially the garden furniture sales went well.
"The store is located in the suburban area of Gödöllő, where the summer season is particularly strong and demand for garden furniture is high, so the timing of the reopening is optimal. The store's staff was excited and prepared to welcome customers, and it was a great pleasure to see that many people were already queuing up before the doors opened," said Zoltán, who joined JYSK 15 years ago.
One of the largest investments
The project of converting all JYSK stores to Store Concept 3.0 is one of the biggest investments in the history of the company. It means that, on average, more than one JYSK store must be rebuilt every day all year round to reach the goal.
This is only possible due to a huge effort from E-Teams, the Store Design team, the GNFR department (Goods Not For Resale) and of course all the countries.
“Our work continues to present Store Concept 3.0 in all JYSK stores around the world. We have seen that the new store concept leads to more inspired and more satisfied customers, while we also see a sales increase when we reopen a store with our updated store concept compared to before,” says Carsten Nørgreen Weinkouff, Executive Vice President Retail Development, Customer Service and Business to Business in JYSK.
And where is the cake :)
