Every now and then, we round up recent events and activities from some of the JYSK countries.
During spring, JYSK has hosted fun, festive, and unique garden events around the world to showcase this year’s outdoor assortment. From collaborations with students and influencers to scenic locations and stylish setups, each event provided guests – including journalists, influencers, B2B and NGO partners – with a unique glimpse into this year’s garden trends. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from around the world.
Garden inspiration at an iconic location in Croatia
In Croatia, JYSK unveiled our new outdoor collection at the Natural History Museum in Zagreb. The event highlighted the increasingly blurred lines between interior and exterior living, showing how the right furniture and accessories can bring comfort and style outdoors.
Embracing summer styling in Norway
In Norway, JYSK hosted a garden event with a theme of imagining the summer. The focus was on floral styling, both artificial and natural, with hands-on tips for arranging bouquets and integrating them into various home and garden settings shared by well-known local influencers and stylists.

The largest outdoor living exhibition in Hungary
In Hungary, JYSK made an inspiring impression at the Garden Expo – the country’s largest outdoor living exhibition. With a booth spanning more than 100 square metres, JYSK showcased its newest garden furniture collection, attracting several TV crews and influencers. A dedicated press event at the stand allowed interior design media to learn directly from JYSK representatives about seasonal trends and styling tips for terraces and outdoor spaces.
A ‘Hygge’ evening by Lake Ariana in Bulgaria
In Bulgaria, JYSK hosted a peaceful and stylish garden event by the shores of Lake Ariana in Sofia, attended by over 70 journalists and influencers.
The evening focused on the concept of ‘hygge’ – the Danish way of creating cosy moments – as reflected in JYSK’s garden collection. A special guest, H. E. Flemming Stender, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Bulgaria, shared insights into his experiences of ‘hygge’ outside Denmark.
Bohemian flair in Portugal
In Portugal, media representatives, influencers, and B2B customers gathered in Lisbon for an inspiring garden event. The event embraced the spirit of bohemian living, one of this year’s key JYSK trends, with settings that reflected freedom, authenticity, and personal style.
JYSK’s outdoor assortment was complemented by artificial greenery and ambient lighting, helping guests envision atmospheric garden spaces full of personality and ease.

Design students decorate garden event in Spain
In Spain, JYSK partnered with the University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) in Madrid, inviting 4th-year interior design students to submit decoration proposals for the event’s outdoor spaces. 13 student teams took part, with three winning concepts selected for implementation. This collaboration offered future designers valuable professional experience and brought fresh, creative energy to the event’s design.

‘Hygge in the Garden’ in Romania
With the concept ‘Hygge in the Garden’, JYSK Romania hosted a garden event in late May – embracing a philosophy already popular among Romanians. The event highlighted the appeal of Scandinavian style, combining comfort, simplicity, and nature-inspired design in a welcoming outdoor setting.
Skyline views and seasonal spirit in Austria
In Austria, JYSK hosted its spring garden event at the scenic Schloss Cobenzl in Vienna, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline. Highlights included a cocktail workshop, where guests created their own spring-themed drinks using fresh herbs and fruits, and a playful Easter-themed treasure hunt. Each goodie bag contained a card leading to a “missing” item hidden at the venue – encouraging interaction and exploration of the products in a fun and engaging way.
Stylish summer launch in the UK
In the United Kingdom, JYSK officially kicked off the garden season with a large influencer event, hosted at a vibrant venue in Manchester. The summer launch party welcomed 40 content creators, collectively reaching over 4 million followers, to experience the latest garden furniture collection in a relaxed and stylish setting.
