25TH ANNIVERSARY IN POLAND

Recently, JYSK celebrated our 25th anniversary in Poland. Since opening the first store in Gdańsk in 2000, the country has grown to more than 300 stores, making Poland JYSK’s second-largest market following only Germany. To mark this milestone, it was celebrated at a fantastic event in January, bringing together over 1,600 colleagues from across the country.

In January, JYSK celebrated 25 years with JYSK distribution centre in Nässjö, Sweden. The milestone was marked with a big celebration for all employees in the country.  

The distribution centre in Nässjö, which started in 2000 with 70 employees and 38,000 square metres, has expanded into an automated facility with 300 employees and 91,400 square metres. It now supplies 257 stores in Sweden and Finland and handles e-commerce operations for both countries.

On 1 February, JYSK hosted a special Blood Donation Day in a store in Kyiv, Ukraine, together with DonorUA, uniting our team, customers, and partners for an important cause – saving lives.  

64 donors joined the initiative, including JYSK colleagues, Country Director Ievgenii Ivanytsia and the Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen. Each donor contributed to helping those in need and up to 192 lives can be saved thanks to the blood donations. 

 

Sleeping Events in Hungary, Türkiye, and the Czech Republic 

In January and February, we hosted Sleeping Events in Hungary, Türkiye, and the Czech Republic. In Hungary, the event were in collaboration with the Hungarian Sleep Association, where the latest findings from JYSK’s sleep research was presented. In Türkiye the theme was “Sleeping Beauty on JYSK”, and in the Czech Republic, the event was themed "Better Sleep as a New Year's Resolution".

Two flooded stores reopen in Spain

- On 6 February, two JYSK stores in Valencia, Spain, which were severely affected by the floodings three months ago, reopened to customers.

- As the war in Ukraine enters its fourth year, JYSK continues to support its Ukrainian employees while remaining invested in the rebuild of the country.
