If you had the opportunity to ask a colleague from another country three questions, what would you ask?

Cecilie Vander Ploeg, who is Responsible for Operations in the Store, decided to send her questions to Canada, which is a JYSK Franchise country. Brenda Bottyan, who is Store Manager in Pitt Meadows Canada, was the one to answer the questions.

Cecilie: "What has been your most fun experience in JYSK?"

Brenda: "My most memorable time with JYSK was when we had to set up the summer patio at the store in Pitt Meadows. We had a good day with help from all District Managers."

Cecilie: "What do you do in your spare time?"

Brenda: "What I like to do in my spare time is to look for the quietest Lake as it is the best way for me to end the work week."

Cecilie: "Is it true that it has been said that you have a ‘Loch Ness sea monster’ like the one supposedly living in Scotland?"

Brenda: "As for the Loch Ness sea monster, we do have one. It is the Ogopogo and its home is Canada's Lake Okanagan. It is described as dark and multi humped with green, black and brown skin. The head is said to look like that of a snake."

Tomáš Ruprecht That's very nice intercontinental communication within our multinational company :-)

I've been working at JYSK as a warehouse keeper just for few weeks, but nevertheless I see, that our company is fully compatible with my attitude to work and also this kind of friendly and open-minded communication between JYSK employees could be very usefull to solve real daily problems which might occure.

For example, the actual migration from JYSKNET to MyJYSK digital platform appears to be the right way how to improve our digital systems and policies (=to be easily reachable from all hardware platforms - e.g.: smartphones, tablets etc.) - furthermore it's very nice and productive that this time I am at home and despite of this fact I can see my work tasks and news and so on...

So, to sum it up: open communication across our company (such as this little interview between Cecilie and Brenda) and user-friendly web-based (web-based = reachable from any hardware that is able to launch web browser) information systems can be one small step for JYSK software architects and application programmers (or external providers - such as in the case of MYJYSK), but giant leap for JYSK company worldwide :-)

Have a nice day :-)
