Some time ago, JYSK started up a dialogue with the IT community Cloud Native Computing Foundation, and last Thursday, on 22 June, they hosted an after-work event at JYSK Head Office with 60 community members.

JAVA Team Manager, Peter Rasmussen, is thrilled for JYSK to be part of the community and facilitate knowledge sharing between members.

“JYSK has grown considerably within IT in recent years, and we want to become even better. Therefore, we also want to give something back to the people who develop the tools we use every day. This event was the perfect opportunity for firebrands to gain deeper knowledge about certain subjects, and we are proud to help make that possible,” Peter says.

A successful community

At the event, two speakers shared their thoughts on Kubernetes as a platform and the hosting of Kafka in the platform.

Kubernetes
One of the talks was called "Kafka at Scale on K8s".

“The power of communities lies in coming together, sharing experiences, and supporting one another, and I think we all gained much more knowledge from the two talks. The participants made the event successful, and it was a pleasure to see their engagement, discussions, and networking throughout the evening. I hope we can sustain the energy from Thursday’s event as we continue to push the boundaries of cloud-native innovation,” Peter explains.

Next event in November

Cloud Native Computing Foundation will host another event at JYSK Head Office on 14 November.

The event is called Kubernetes Community Day. It will be filled with lots of speakers and great opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing.
