JYSK Museum: GO JYSK goes from paper to web

Date:

Author: Stine Falk, Communications & CSR Intern

Category: History

In the basement of JYSK’s head office in Brabrand, Denmark, a small museum has memorable objects from JYSK’s history on display.

Once in a while, we will choose some of the many objects, take a picture of them and tell the stories behind these souvenirs from the past.

GO JYSK goes from paper to web

In December 2016, the last print issue of GO JYSK, the employee magazine, was published. Instead, our online storytelling universe GOJYSK.com was launched.

The history of the paper magazine goes back a long time. Did you, for instance, know that the very first issue was published all the way back in 2002? The first edition features JYSK founder and owner Lars Larsen, actually two of him, on the cover.

An award-winning international magazine

Since publishing began, a total of 59 issues have been produced and distributed to the home addresses of JYSK employees.

Through the years, GO JYSK has also received numerous awards, Danish as well as European, for its content, and our ambition is to continue this successful work online at GOJYSK.com, with all the additional features a digital platform offers.

As JYSK has continuously expanded, the magazine has also been translated to an increasing number of languages. In the course of 2017, GOJYSK.com will be available in 18  languages, which cover all the countries in which JYSK Nordic operates stores.
