The first six months of the financial year have passed, and JYSK continues to perform well and gain new customers.

Jan Bøgh
Jan Bøgh, CEO & President of JYSK Nordic.

Dear colleagues,

First of all a big thank you for your efforts in the first six months of this financial year.

As always we experience both ups and downs, but looking at JYSK overall, we have reasons to be satisfied.

We continue to gain lots of new customers both in our physical stores and online, and looking at earnings we are on track with an increase in turnover of more than five percent in comparable stores and 10 percent overall.

Impressive growth

I am also happy to say that we are doing well in all countries, but I am especially happy to see that we are gaining customers and turnover in some of the countries where we have been struggling.

This includes the UK where we have seen an increase in turnover of more than 20 percent.

This is well done by our English colleagues, and it is of course extra important considering that our next country opening will be in Ireland in 2019.

Winning outdoor season

Right now, however, the next goal is to ensure that we “win” the outdoor season.

We are facing tough competition in all countries, so we need to be at our best to continue our successful journey and keep on track with the financial goals we have set.

I am sure that this will be the case, and I wish you all the best for the garden season.

Best regards,

Jan Bøgh
CEO & President of JYSK Nordic
