On 28 August 2023, there is exactly one year to go until the Paralympics 2024 in Paris. JYSK kicks off the countdown with a campaign called “Everyone can succeed”.

In 1989, a long and strong connection between JYSK and parasports was initiated. At that time, JYSK stepped in as main sponsor of Parasport Danmark (the Danish paralympic committee). Since then, JYSK has also become main sponsor of Parasport associations in Finland, Norway, and Romania while also supporting the National Paralympic Committees in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Sweden.

This connection is especially relevant today on 28 August 2023, as this date starts the countdown one year before the Paralympics 2024 in Paris. Therefore, JYSK has launched the campaign “Everyone can succeed”.

“Our sponsorship of parasports is built on the common understanding that dedication and the will to win are what paves the road to great achievements and possibilities. We are really looking forward to following all of the inspiring para-athletes in their preparations for the Paralympics and we support them all the way,” says Communications Director at JYSK, Åse Andersson.

Video with athletes from five countries

As part of the campaign, JYSK has produced a video with para-athletes from several of the countries, where JYSK is a sponsor. In the video, the athletes tell what their motivation is and what they think of their status as role models.

The Chairman of the Danish Paralympic Committee and Parasport Denmark, John Petersson, is excited about the continued support and passion for parasports shown by JYSK.

“JYSK has done a lot to help raise awareness about para sport and has long supported our efforts to provide all people with disabilities or special needs an opportunity to take part in sports. JYSK are committed to making a difference, and we value their efforts and our partnership immensely.”
