JYSK officially opened the Distribution Center in Bulgaria

On Thursday September 12, CEO & President of JYSK, Jan Bøgh, and the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, officially inaugurated Distribution Center Bozhurishte.
Thursday September 12 was an important day for JYSK as well as for Bulgaria, as JYSK officially opened a brand new distribution center in Bozhurishte near Sofia.
The official guests of the ceremony included Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov and the Ambassador of Denmark Søren Jacobsen.
Furthermore a number of JYSK employees in Bozhurishte had the opportunity to participate in the ceremony.
Big step
The inauguration of Bozhurishte is an important step towards fulling JYSK´s strategy about being even closer to the costumers.
”The distribution center here in Bozhurishte is build using the latest technology, and it is by far the most modern in the region. When it is fully implemented in our supply chain it will bring a lot of advantages to customers, stores and to the environment,” explained Logistics Manager, Jan Oliver-Schmidt.
The total size of the facility is 95 000 m2, while the total storage capacity is nearly 125 000 pallets.
When the distribution center reach full capacity, it will employ more than 200 people and serve more than 320 JYSK stores in the region.
