International JYSK support lines up for JYSK Morocco launch
JYSK is set to expand into a brand-new market with the opening of its first stores in Morocco in April. To help make it a successful opening, experienced employees from several JYSK countries are coming together to provide retail and logistics support.
Ahead of its opening in Morocco, JYSK is utilising the experience of its Store Managers, Deputy Store Managers, E-Teams, and logistics employees from other JYSK countries. Around 30 JYSK employees are set to go to Morocco starting from week 8. Their mission is to assist in setting up the first stores, ensuring that Moroccan customers will experience the same high standards and inspiring shopping environment that define JYSK globally.
Support helps create a seamless opening
The retail and logistics employees bring valuable knowledge from previous store setups to Morocco, and their involvement ranges from setting up the sales floor to organising store concepts. This way, the opening will be as seamless as possible.
“Expanding into Morocco is a significant milestone for JYSK, and we want our first Moroccan stores to reflect our core values and high standards from day one. Having experienced colleagues help support the opening is invaluable, as they bring both knowledge and a passion for retail that will set the foundation for our success,” says Mikael Nielsen, Executive Vice President Retail.
Building JYSK culture for the grand opening
Beyond the operational aspects, the visiting JYSK employees will also play a key role in introducing the company's culture and values to the new Moroccan teams. Training sessions and daily guidance will help new employees quickly adapt to JYSK and best practices, thereby maintaining a customer-focused workplace culture.
In addition, the dedicated team in the warehouse has officially started working on setting up the dark store, which will result in an even faster and more efficient online service.
