JYSK globetrotter celebrates 25th anniversary
- Mikael Albæk Kristensen is Expansion Director and has spent over half of his life at JYSK. He started as an apprentice in the store in Vejle, and on Thursday 5 January 2023 he celebrates his 25th anniversary in the company with 19 new country openings under his belt.

When JYSK opens its two first stores in Belgium in April 2017, there are are certain challenges which are particular to the country.
New distribution centre inaugurated in Germany
- 5 October 2016 marked the inauguration of Dänishes Bettenlager’s new distribution centre in Kammlach in southern Germany.
- The first JYSK store in Georgia opened up its doors in the capital Tblisi on 1 October 2016.
- On Friday, 14 October 2016, JYSK opened its 200th store in Poland in the town of Jarocin.
- At the end of September, a new JYSK store opened up its doors in the Gulliver shopping centre in the centre of Ukraine’s capital, Kiev.
