GOJYSK.com went behind the scenes for a TV commercial with JYSK founder Lars Larsen. For many years, Lars Larsen was the face of JYSK in all Danish TV commercials. He passed away in august 2019.
A topping-out ceremony is held for the distribution centre in Radomsko that was under construction at the time. A catholic priest gives his blessing to the building, which is a tradition for constructions in Poland.

JYSK opened in Serbia, which became JYSK country number 35. The first store was opened in Subotica in northern Serbia, and the interest from customers was enormous. On the first day, the store had to prolong the opening hours to meet the interest.

JYSK Bosnia & Herzegovina wins the award for Best Retail Employer. The prize was given after a vote from citizens in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Two years earlier, JYSK finished second in the award for Best Workplace in Retail in the country.
