JYSK Russia is on the right track after eventful months
Despite some unusual challenges, JYSK Russia has got off to a fine start, Country Manager Igor Raić says. The plan is still to expand with 9 new stores in the new financial year.
After a first few eventful months, Country Manager in JYSK Russia, Igor Raić, is finally able to take a short deep breath and draw his first conclusions on the start in Russia.
The sales both in the stores and online have been good despite of the challenges. The customers in Russia seem to like the products and things are now progressing as wanted.
“We were the first country to open without physical presence and support by colleagues coming from other JYSK countries and that made our opening a bit more challenging. All our staff is new, so we still have a lot of things we need to learn. However, I would say that the team are doing quite well, and we are on the right track,” says Igor Raić.
JYSK Russia is just at the start line
However, the deep breath can only be short for Igor Raić, because there is still a lot to do. In the upcoming financial year the plan is still to open another 9 stores in Russia making the number of stores 13 in total.
“The challenging part in Russia is that it takes a lot of time to negotiate contracts. But we need to take that time and work around it,” says Igor Raić.
