With a donation of one million DKK (approx. 130,000 EUR), JYSK supports projects aimed at helping girls across three different continents.

Girls and their right to live free and independent lives are under pressure in many places in the world.

This year, the money collected through the Danish charity initiative, Danmarks Indsamling, will be divided between 12 projects, which are all meant to help girls.

The projects include better conditions for girls in the crowded refugee camps in Bangladesh, reintegration of former girl soldiers in South Sudan and vulnerable Indian girls in Colombia, as well as a number of other important projects around the world.

“JYSK has been among the main contributors to Danmarks Indsamling every year since it started 12 years ago. For us it is a great way to contribute, because the projects are run by well-known and trustworthy NGO’s, ensuring that our donations are spent in the best possible way. This year we are very happy to support projects for girls worldwide. We are happy to support concrete projects as well as to raise our voice on behalf of girls worldwide,” says Rune Jungberg Pedersen, Communications & CSR Director at JYSK.

Danmarks Indsamling

Since Danmarks Indsamling began, the event has raised a total of more than one billion DKK (approx. 130 million EUR) for a number of projects, mainly focused at helping children.
