Dear colleagues,

The world around us has never been as unpredictable as itRami is right now. Customers feel it and may hold back on buying new furniture or a new bed. But not in JYSK, thanks to your dedication and customer first mindset.

In JYSK, we want to focus on the things that we can affect positively, and you are doing a great job here. All of our product categories are growing compared to last year and you are consistently delivering great results on sales. Well done!

Kick-off on our new strategy

Last week, I had the pleasure of spending the day at our annual strategy kick-off where we gathered management teams across JYSK in Denmark. 

Our focus was on our new FY26-28 strategy, “Customers’ first choice”, and in the next couple of months, the management teams in all JYSK countries, logistics and service functions will be working on their local business plans within the framework of the new strategy.

I look forward to presenting our new strategy to you when we start our new financial year on 1 September 2025. We will have even more focus on our customers, on our products and you as our employees in our stores, distribution centres and head offices. 


Successful opening on a new continent

In April, we opened our first two stores in Morocco, marking JYSK country number 50 and a new continent. We see a lot of potential for JYSK here and it was a great experience to see how our Moroccan store staff and country organisation already have embraced our JYSK values and customer first mindset.

Thank you to all colleagues who have helped with the opening. And a warm welcome to the JYSK team to our new Moroccan colleagues.

Unified Commerce roll-out continues

During the spring, we successfully rolled out Unified Commerce in Switzerland. This summer, we will begin the roll-out in our biggest market, Germany. 

It is great to see how we are implementing learning and successes in the roll-out and I am sure that we will be successful in Germany as well, so we can make the shopping experience in JYSK even better. 

My leadership team and I would like again to thank you for all your hard work and dedication in our JYSK stores, distribution centres and head offices. We wish you all a great summer!

JYSK Italy reached 102 stores – how is it to be a member of club 100?

- With the recent openings of stores in Olbia, L’Aquila and Nocera Superiore, on 11 April 2025, JYSK Italy has surpassed 100 stores – a big milestone for the team and for the country that opened its first JYSK store in 2009.

- When Oliver Barfod received the Danish Retail Award 2024, it wasn’t just a recognition of his leadership. It was also a ticket to one of the world’s most dynamic cities, New York, to explore the latest retail trends.
