The JYSK Bulgaria employees, including Ralitsa Yordanova, Development Manager JYSK Bulgaria, who has been donating for One Percent Change for the past three years, delivered the bed linen to the home in Pirdop and were happy to bring joy to the elderly.

“The causes that are most dear to my heart are when we support the elderly. I was raised by my grandmother, who taught me everything about life and contributed to become the person I am. Words are not enough to express how much I appreciate her dedication and love and respectively how much I miss her inspiration, support and her. I personally suffer when elderly people are left to walk their final path alone.

With all their knowledge and experience, it is just not fair to underestimate them as contributors to society. We should not forget that we are all going to get old, or at least if we are lucky enough For me it is important to be a good and generous person and to show by doing. If everyone, or at least every second person is involved in one good initiative in his life, we will be closer to a healthier, self-conscious and responsible society. A society I will be proud to raise my kids within", said Ralitsa Yordanova.

The beneficiaries were 33 elderly people, mostly blind, that live in the social complex House for adults with sensory disorders in the town of Pirdop, 40 people that live in the House for adults with mental retardation" in the village of Dzhurkovo and 9 people living in Hospice "Donka Pavrikova" from Sofia.

„I would like to express my gratitude for the donation! A beautiful, kind and radiant young team visited our 100 year old home for elderly, in the town of Pirdop and brought a little happiness for our inhabitants. Thank you ever so much!”, said Nenka Kalkandjieva, manager of House for adults with sensory disorders, Pirdop.

The inhabitants of the retirement home in Pirdop spend 80% of their time in bed, due to their age and health problems, so a new bed linen will make their lives more comfortable and pleasant. In the village of Djurkovo, 35 women and 5 men, from which only 6 of them are still visited by relatives, were pleased to see that there are people who stil think of them and want to offer their help.
