JYSK colleagues in Poland joined forces to organise a charity activity in August for victims of a series of violent storms in the city Chojnice, in the northern part of Poland.
In only one night, many people lost their homes and personal belongings due to the violent storms in the northern part of Poland. JYSK colleagues across different departments and functions therefore decided to join forces in organising a charity activity for the benefit of the victims.
”It was a great initiative by our employees across the country from the bottom of their hearts,” says Piotr Padalak, Country Manager.
Several units in JYSK contributed
Both the head office in Poland, the distribution centre in Radomsko and stores in Poland contributed to the charity. Some colleagues even shortened their vacation days to help at the charity.
More than five pallets of blankets, duvets, pillows, towels, air beds etc. were collected, packed and afterwards donated to Red Cross in Poland, who then made sure than the help got to the right recipients.
