MobileAll 110 JYSK stores in Denmark are now running on the new point of sale system, which is part of Unified Commerce. The last Danish store went live on Thursday 29 June.

On Thursday 29 June 2023, a major milestone was reached when the remaining five Danish stores also switched to using the new point of sale system, which is part of Unified Commerce - one of the largest IT projects in JYSK's history.

The first Danish store was Støvring on 11 October 2022, and especially during June, the rollout has gained momentum, as more than half of the Danish stores have been successfully converted during this time. In the near future, the system will be rolled out to all JYSK countries.

"It is a special and good milestone, and it is great to tick this off. Of course, there have been challenges on the way, but throughout the process I have experienced a really good collaboration with all service functions at the head office, who have taken it extremely seriously to get the system implemented in the best possible way," says Country Director in JYSK Denmark, Bo Andersen.

Rollout gained momentum

Along the way, Bo has experienced a great understanding of JYSK Denmark's wishes and concerns. Gradually, the hard work has paid off.

"As soon as we got started, the implementation was relatively easy, and it shows our JYSK DNA that we do not give up so easily. We could have postponed the rest of the stores until the autumn, but no, we wanted to do it now. We were united in this and wanted to take advantage of the great system, which has been incredibly well received in the stores. It is really intuitive and easy to operate," says Bo.

Next countries in autumn

Point of saleIn the autumn, the rollout is planned to begin in the next JYSK countries, where Portugal is the first country in line, and according to Bo, they should look forward to it.

"Checkout is easier to navigate - especially for new employees. At the same time, it provides some great advantage on busy days that we can serve customers via mobile phone, so the customer does not have to stand in line," he says.

As a pilot country, JYSK Denmark are of course ready to help with advice and guidance for the next countries.

"We should be proud that JYSK is investing in being future-proof and giving the customers an even better shopping experience. We could have stayed where we were, but we constantly need to develop to continue delivering a great Scandinavian offer," says Bo.
